Who is Demetra

My name is Demetra Rowan. My mother honored me with the nickname Duchess when I was born (it was my aunt's name). I was born in Atlanta, Georgia.  GOD blessed me with these wonderful gifts of sewing and jewelry making, I have designed and sewn for over 50 years.  I have experience working with various designers (formal and high-end casual attire), redesigning a dress for Miss Georgia contestant ,  creating custom gowns, veils and wedding party attire (male and female), this experience causes my designs to fit my clients figure and personality, in order to give my client  the confidence to attend their special event.

After I retired from the IT industry as  a  Network Engineer, I have continued to refine my skills in construction and design by taking extensive training from industry professionals (patternmakers, sample makers and stylists).   I have studied with a Master Tailor - Mr. James "Gentleman Jim" MacFarland and I still continue to enhance my skill  set.  The knowledge obtained is displayed in my elegant timeless designs and the detailed construction of my garments/jewelry.
